Join us all weekend as we celebrate our Irish culture with great music, food, beer, and do some early Christmas shopping with our fantastic vendors! We have many Cultural and Historical displays and performances, the well attended “Speaker Series”, and a large dedicated kids play area with bouncy castles, activities, and games.
The modest admission fee to the festival goes to support the many charitable causes of our own Maryland Irish community, whose members volunteer their time every year to put on this great event. It’s a family affair, so come out, have fun and be part of this great charitable endeavor.
Wreaths Across America
Important Change of Date: Saturday, February 13, 2016
Arlington National Cemetery has again changed the date for the removal of wreathes from the Cemetery because of the record snow fall. The new date is: Saturday, February 13th!
Irish Charities of Maryland would like to thank the MANY volunteers that assisted with the very successful placing of wreathes on the graves at Arlington National Cemetery on December 12, 2015. The wreathes give the cemetery a memorable appearance; one that will last a lifetime!
Soon, volunteers will be needed to remove the wreathes from the cemetery. Again, Irish Charities of Maryland will have Coach Bus transportation available for the removal of the thousands of Christmas Wreaths at Arlington National Cemetery on the morning of Saturday, February 13, 2016. We will be leaving from the Timonium Park and Ride at 6:15 AM, and make a second stop at the I-70 Park and Ride at 6:35 AM before heading south to Arlington. The coaches will have coffee, hot chocolate, and donuts for participants. After removal of the wreathes, we will return to our Park and Ride locations, and then celebrate at the An Poitin Stil in Timonium. Gloves, and a pole, broom handle, rake handle, or similar tool will assist in carrying multiple wreathes to the dumpsters for disposal.
